Vienna International Airport (Flughafen Wien-Schwechat; IATA: VIE; ICAO: LOWW) is located 18 km southeast of central Vienna. It is Austrias biggest airport and features a dense network of European destinations, as well as long-haul flights to Asia, North America and Africa. It is also the hub for Austrian Airlines (IATA: OS; ICAO: AUA) the official carrier of ECEM 2015.

Follow the red signs reading ÖBB, or "S-Bahn" (or showing a white S on a blue background). Take the S7 (direction: "Wien Floridsdorf") and get off at the stop "Praterstern".
From this station you have to get on the subway U2 (purple line, direction: Karlsplatz) and get off at the station "Schottentor". Walk (3 minutes) to the main building of the University.
The ride from the Airport to Praterstern will last about 30 minutes. Please note that the Airport is located outside of the city of Vienna, therefore you will need an extra ticket for public transport.
Tickets need to be bought in the red "ÖBB" vending machines located at the Airport train station. The total one way fare for this trip is 4.10 € (*).
The CAT is a direct yet more expensive train connection between the Airport and the city. It takes about 16 minutes to reach the station "Landstrasse-Wien Mitte".
From "Landstrasse-Wien Mitte" you have to get on the subway U4 (green line, direction: Heiligenstadt) and get off at the station "Schottenring". There, change to the subway U2 (purple line, direction: Karlsplatz) and get off at the station "Schottentor". Walk (3 minutes) to the main building of the University.
During operating hours, every 30 minutes, the CAT leaves at and returns to the Airport. To the Airport: 05:36 to 23:06. From the Airport: 06:06 to 23:36 (see CAT schedule).
Some Airlines offer a check-in at the CAT Vienna Centre Terminal. Tickets can be bought online (for a slightly reduced price) or at the green vending machines at the Airport train station. The one-way fare at the vending machines is 12 €(*).

The taxi rank can be found in front of the arrival hall. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the city centre. A taxi ride might cost 35-40 € (*).
