On the first day of the conference, Sunday, August 16th, ECEM will welcome all participants in the Arcaded Courtyard of the main building of the University of Vienna with a Welcome Reception including drinks and a full dinner.
In the arcades, 154 busts and insignia remind of renowned research scholars of the university. During the conference, the courtyard will serve as a place for recreation and communication in between the sessions.
